I made a mistake, the first time I visited the Guggenheim Museum, as regards its navigation. One is supposed to take the lift, and head straight to the top of the museum, and then meander down the long circuitous ramp – not struggle up it.
The picture, taken at a subsequent visit, was one of a number taken from such a viewpoint, I think to salve and alleviate my original folly.
Of course, architecture only leads the user where it leads, according to its spatial composition. If I went the wrong way, was that my fault, or the buildings……?
