Plate G2.no19: West Highland Way (Rannoch Moor [Scotland])

This picture was taken on my first major trek, the West Highland Way in May 2016*, of Rannoch Moor, near Bridge of Orchy, approximately at the half-way point along this 95-mile jaunt.
Where exactly on the moor I cannot recall – though I do remember that:
a) I was exhausted and exultant in equal measure;
b) This was my first effective panorama picture. Many more would follow. This one, however, continues to resonate, for three reasons that make it in my mind ‘effective’:
Firstly: there is a range of points of interest, both near and far.
Secondly: the manipulation to B+W revealed rather dramatic contrasts.
Thirdly: there is evidence of ‘man’, both in person and by act – a factor I adore. Nature empty doesn’t do it for me.
