Plate G8.no5: Watchtower – Great Wall of China near Huangyaguan

I’m rather proud of this picture – I took it one the first day of the trek, my first attempt at trying to capture the wall.
I was well aware that one of the issues would be trying to get everything into some sort of relationship with everything else: the foreground, the mid-ground and the distance – with only my phone. Framing the composition was going to be interesting……anyway, this was my first relatively successful attempt.
That a breeze came up and brought the flag into play I took to be a sign……
