Another panorama, taken momentarily after the previous one in this gallery – confirming the point made: regarding the ever-changing quality of the scenery. Look one way, versus looking another – and this is what you got.
What became increasingly fascinating as the trek wore on was hearing about the trails themselves, who had formed them, and how long they had existed. Some dated back to pre-historic times apparently – and even then, were only a fraction of the time that the mountains had existed.
Suffice to say, pondering over and indeed, grappling with the enormity of things, both of place and time, was as constant an activity on this trek as the walking.
