Plate G8.no15: Shixiaguan Pinnacle: The Great Wall of China*

This picture was taken on the last day of the trek – we climbed a height of 4000 feet, equivalent to Ben Nevis – and arrived at heaven.
I’m not sure I want to say much more about this picture – suffice to say, I’m grateful someone peered over the wall at the moment of taking. The trek was a moment in time, a magical, incredible experience – and this last days climb crowned the trek in more ways than one. I was in need of something, some spark, by which to re-ignite my life.
This trek did that……and this day confirmed it……that figure staring out, though not me, captures me at that moment…brought back into the world…
