Plate G3.no3: Manhattan sky (i) (New York)

This is one of two photographs taken whilst lingering in a side street in Manhattan. Some birds flew conveniently into the path of my lens – it seemed both provident and obligatory to photograph them, especially as they had chosen to fly against a sky so rich and painterly blue, with a sun so kindly located, and in the shadow of the Empire State Building no less.
I’ve probably mentioned already – I do not think of myself as a photographer, I just point and fire as the mood takes me. That mood is clearly influenced however, by a combination of factors, some tangible, and others which I cannot fully ascertain or ascribe a definitive description.
