Plate G3.no4: Manhattan island (New York)

There’s a stark choice to be made in New York: which skyscraper first? The Empire State Building …or the Rockefeller Centre?
I’d sooner opt for the Rockefeller – not because I admire and respect the Rockefeller more than the Empire State Building (though I might, subsequent to reading Rem Koolhaus ‘Delirious New York’ book), but rather, because the Empire State Building is the one building in Manhattan which most captivates, as being simply, the greatest skyscraper ever. Imagine – King Kong, elsewhere? Or a rendezvous better than its pinnacle for an affair to remember…?
The choice then is a simple one: the Rockefeller – for the view of the Empire State Building is so much better being seen from the top of ‘the rock’……
