Plate G2.no5: Loch Lomond (Scotland)
I undertook various challenge treks between 2016-2018*. My training regime was simple: I encouraged myself to walk, as often as I could, and to go always, further. On this particular day I walked almost 16 miles – longer than I had ever walked. It was agonising. By the time I got to Loch Lomond I was in considerable distress.
I remember distinctly when I took this picture, resting briefly before heading into the hamlet of Luss, on the lochs West bank. The trees hanging low over the water, and evidently tortured empathically caught my eye……
As for composition, the horizon was level – but my personal horizon, hardly so. Such composition is a feature of many of my pictures, reflective of my state of mind at the time: unbalanced……
