Plate G3.no15: Chicago skyline

It’s not the Manhattan skyline – but Chicago has its own thing going on, nonetheless. Admittedly it’s not the Chicago of the roaring Twenty’s; nor indeed is it Chicago of today – to be honest, I’m not sure I’ve caught Chicago’s most striking nor unique profile in this picture (which I’m sure would be quite dramatic if seen further out from the Lake Michigan……) But I was taken by the exuberance of metallic surfaces and wondered whether indeed this couldn’t be an even more striking vision – of a city, devoid entirely of any natural element/s whatsoever. It warranted some manipulation, just to make the point: that none of this is real……
