Plate G1.no15: Alcazar of Seville (Spain)
This picture invokes fond memories of friendships, being unexpectantly formed. It was taken when working with academic colleagues from Europe and South America. We collaborated on a joint academic project for over three years, meeting regularly at various locations in both Europe and SA. On this occasion, we were in Seville.
The figure in the foreground is a professor from Colombia, a kind, gentle, wise, and knowledgeable individual. I liked that the exquisite dome of the Alcazar (which I must accord deference, as a most remarkable building, for its hybrid of historical embellishments, of styles and faiths) mirrored my learned colleagues……someone, I came to respect and admire tremendously.
