PHOTO GALLERY 10: Trek: GRAND CANYON (USA)*

This gallery presents a selection of photographs from a challenge trek in the Grand Canyon (USA) in October 2018.
This was the last trek of six, undertaken between 2016 and 2018, in aid of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
The treks formed a backdrop to a period of my life, fraught and rendered desperate by the awful grief consequent to the death of my son in 2014. By the time I came to the end of this final trek, much had changed – and its both gratifying and comforting to be able to share these photographs, knowing that they were taken once a change had been wrought, a significant change, from a state of utter hopelessness prevailing, to one of hope emerging.
