By way of introduction: In 2018 I was approached by television production company IWC Media (Glasgow), and invited to become judge on a new television venture commissioned by BBC Scotland: ‘SCOTLANDS HOME OF THE YEAR’ #SHOTY.

#SHOTY2019, the first series of the show, was filmed in the summer of 2018 and aired in May 2019. Subsequently the programme was aired on BBC 1 Scotland, and on digital channels in Australia and Canada. The second series, #SHOTY2020, was filmed in 2019, and aired through May and June 2020.
The show has by all accounts been a tremendous success, the final of the second series garnering over 135,000 viewers in Scotland.
