Plate G10.no11: The Blue Line Trail – Grand Canyon (USA)*
The odd thing about trekking the Grand Canyon is that one’s day is reversed: the difficult bit is not descending, but climbing back up……
We took the Blue Line Trail – a fairly well-known trail, pretty much the tourist trail – though we were warned, not to deviate. Its apparently very easy to get lost in the Grand Canyon – on account of its (frankly, gob-smacking) size.
The word ‘awesome’ is used a lot in the USA – to the point of overuse, which is a shame – because here, the term is accurate. Unquestionably, this is something to see, and does settle the debate: size does matter.
