Plate G10.no7: Stay or Go – The Grand Canyon (USA)*

I’ve been lucky I think, so many times lucky – that people have been present at the pinnacle of my treks and hill climbing – and not only present, but have done things which have basically, made the picture.
I love this moment – both figures striking poses: the one, static, adopting the position of awed contemplation; the other: fuck it, let’s go……!
I tend to mimic the former. I don’t have that fearless gene in me, that would incline me to throw myself about with such abandon in such places. But that’s fine – as long as others keep showing up, and doing what they do, I’ll happily snap away. They make my efforts worthwhile, and I’m forever grateful to them, for making my day more complete than it otherwise would have been.
