Plate G5.no4: Twin Tree and Grate – Glen Fruin (Scotland)

This is the original photograph from which picture G5.no1 is sourced. Normally I would not include two such obviously related pictures – but I reckon they are suitably distinct, and I do like them both, as such, independently.
I walked this road along Glen Fruin many times whilst training for treks, between 2016 and 2018. It’s a beautiful place – though one does have to quell the fact, of knowing there was a massacre there, of the Colquhouns by the MacGregor Clan in 1602.
It’s hard to imagine to be honest – though on this particular morning, less so: fog lingered, as did the distressing knowledge……of the past. I try not to linger there, but on occasion, I do wish I didn’t know, some things I know.
