Plate G3.no5: Manhattan sky (ii) (New York)

Chasms…New York’s got plenty. One’s neck gets weary, from being continually lured to peer upwards. Maybe if you live there you get used to it; maybe……but, I’m not objecting. The thrill of seeing say the Chrysler Building or Empire State Building ‘in the flesh’ has yet to wear off.
But of course, the point is: how does nature align itself, to such (man-made) chasms? I noticed in the taking of this picture, just how few birds I had seen in the city……
I’m not trying to make the obvious point here, of the dislocation between nature and man-made. Personally, I think both are deeply flawed, and in their evolutional infancy. I’m just observing……(and speaking of which, that’s the Empire State Building, its radio mast pinnacle peaking out, so recognisable……)
